Job Overview: DTNA Engineering Platform Management (EPM) is responsible for the project management of major product projects at DTNA, which includes product planning, technical feasibility studies, budget and schedule development, and coordination of work across impacted departments. EPM is an excellent department to gain knowledge of the entire product development process and our products, as well as expand your professional network. Position offers a starting salary range of $86,000 to $100,000 USD.

Pay offered is dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You Drive at DTNA

Responsibilities include: - Managing Engineering projects. Creating detailed project timing plans and working closely with Engineering and other departments to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget. - Coordinating and facilitating project-related meetings such as status reviews, design reviews, mockup reviews, and visual management meetings. - Publishing minutes and tracking action items. - Identifying risks and escalating to management when appropriate. Preparing project status reports and presenting CVDS gate updates to project committees. - Assessing feasibility, budget, and timing for future product development projects. - Recommending scope changes to maximize return on investment. - Recommending and assisting with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. - Using and supporting the DTNA Visual Management process for running projects.

Knowledge You Should Bring

Requirements include: - Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of experience OR 6+ years of experience in lieu of a degree. - A self-motivated, proactive individual with strong communication skills, able to independently lead cross-functional project teams and manage complex Engineering development projects. - Demonstrated skills in project management processes. - Knowledge of product development processes. - Experience preparing and delivering presentations. - Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. - Good networking skills and a strong interest in Project Management. - Ability to work with SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software packages. - Ability to handle multiple, detailed tasks and work professionally with various levels of DTNA management. - Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change. - High level of oral and written communication skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. - Analytical and problem-solving ability. - An attached resume is required.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

Preferred qualifications include: - Degree in a technical-related field. - Experience working on a DTNA project team. - Knowledge of the DTNA systems and business processes. - Experience in the automotive/heavy-duty truck industry or related experience. - Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location: Portland, OR, US. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
